1. “This was the room I had up until I went to college this fall. I mean, it’s still my room (I’m in it right now) but the walls are bit patchy because of stuff I took down to put in my dorm room. My walls were constantly evolving. I moved in when I was 13 and every few months or so would have the urge, usually in the middle of the night, to rearrange everything. This is what it looked like about a year ago when I was 17.5. It was one giant scrapbook or collage. Sort of a wall version of my Tumblr. There are photos of my family and friends (most taken by me, some recent, some from when I was a kid), postcards I collected while traveling, posters (my favorite is the Ringling Bros. poster with the tiger), paintings, and other odds and ends. You can sort of see the windowsill on the left side of the bed. I always had it lined with seashells, crystals, my three jars full of seaglass, flower petals, and seashells, sand, and water from the Irish sea, and little figurines like an elephant and Buddha. All of that’s in my dorm room now. Anyway, this is one corner of an incarnation of my room. Baltimore, MD.”—Freesiafaces
