This blog is my homage to all of us when we were still young and exciting, before we got old and boring.
Can I come in?
“This is a bit of my room before I moved, so when I was about 15, only two years ago. I lived in the suburbs of New Orleans. I love odds and ends, I love the way colorful clutter looks, the way light shines through glass, scented things, books, candy, letters, folk music, and sleeping on my floor. My bedroom then rocked because I had so little room but so much stuff. The wiring was bad so the overhead light almost never worked, so it was lit almost solely by Christmas lights and lamps, and it gave it a real home-y feel, and lightened down my pepto bismol pink walls. My ceilings were really low too, so everything just felt so cozy. I loved it because even though it seemed like a ‘warm’ room, it was always at least 10 degrees colder in my room than the rest of the house, so it gave me a great excuse to collect pretty blankets!”—Ieatmybreakfast
